What does Thanksgiving 2026 look like at Clearwater Beach?

The beach doesn't close for the holiday. City rules keep it open around the clock, and lifeguards keep their usual 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule, seven days a week.

Which Thanksgiving cruises leave from Clearwater Beach?

These are the only Thanksgiving meals at the beach with a confirmed 2026 date, time and price. All three leave from Clearwater Beach Marina, 25 Causeway Blvd, at the beach end of the Memorial Causeway. Each operator asks you to board 30 minutes before departure.

The Calypso Queen is the best value if you drink: it's the cheapest ticket, and beer, wine and rum punch are included. The Starlite Infinity is Starlite's fine-dining yacht and runs 30 minutes longer, but drinks cost extra. Yacht StarShip IV costs the most once you add its onboard gratuity, and it's the only boat with afternoon and evening sailings. The 3:30 p.m. cruise is due back at 5:30, six minutes before sunset, so you get the late light on the water.

The beach itself is fine. The surprises come from places that close on the holiday or, in Sand Key Park's case, the day after.

The Sand Key Park closure is easy to miss, and it lands on a day when plenty of people are off work. If Friday is your beach day, use the main beach around Pier 60 instead; see the city lots and garages near Pier 60. The aquarium closure means Thursday is a poor day for a kids' outing, so plan it for Friday or Saturday.

Late November is mild and mostly dry. NOAA's 1991-2020 normals for November 26 are below. Clearwater Beach sits between these two stations, right on the water.

That's T-shirt weather at noon and a light jacket after sunset. These are 30-year averages, and a passing cold front can make any given day cooler, so pack one warm layer.
