Sunset to Sparkle at Pier 60 Park
For 2026, the Pier 60 Sunset Festival and the City of Clearwater are holding Sunset to Sparkle, a free, family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration in Pier 60 Park on Thursday, December 31, 2026, from 3 to 9:30 p.m. Expect live entertainment, local artisans, street performers and amusement attractions.
Fireworks at 9 p.m., Not Midnight
The event's grand finale fireworks go off over Clearwater Beach at 9 p.m., so families can celebrate before midnight. The city is not listing a midnight show, so if you want to toast at 12 sharp, plan on a hotel party or a dinner reservation for the rest of the night.

Most beachfront hotels host their own NYE events — upscale dinners, DJs, champagne, outdoor fire pits. A hotel package is often the easiest way to do NYE at Clearwater Beach because you avoid driving entirely.
